- Marketoi: It is THE application for all the lazy-bones. You can order whatever you want from the application (they have fruits & vegetables, drinks, bakery and food from restaurants such as Mc Donald’s) and if it is not referenced in their catalog, you can contact them via Viber and make your order directly to them. The delivery fee is 30,000 VND but it is currently free via the application as they just launched it.
How to use the application:
Step 1: You sign in, put your address of delivery and schedule your order (can be now or later)
Step 2: You go through all the different categories
Step 3: You add products in your shopping cart. For all product, you can see from which stores is from and for the fruits and vegetables, you have the prince per weight.
Step 3: You check your order and checkout.
The operation manager will contact you as soon as they receive your order to check if it is correct (address, time of delivery, products ordered). In case the product is out of stock, they will contact you to let you know and offer you an alternative. They also send you picture of the product to make sure it is the right product you want (It is the case when you order via Viber).
I highly recommend this application because it is convenient (If you are having a huge hangover, you will be happy to know that you breakfast will arrive soon; if you have scheduled it), they are flexible meaning that you can order from any place you want (From the local market for example, where the fruits and vegetables are much cheaper than in the supermarket, as long as you know where it is) and it’s quick, delivered within 30min.

Memeapp: If you are a bit shopalcoholic, this application it is definitely for you. On Memeapp, you will find clothes for women and men, fashion accessories such as jewelry, bags and shoes, but also hi-tech accessories and home living furnitures.
I will only recommend to buy home living furnitures, hi-tech accessories such as phone case and fashion accessories such as sunglasses. For the rest, I am not really convinced by the quality and so on.
Step 1: You choose the category you would like to explore and click on the product you are interested in
Step 2: The interface is basically like Instagram, you have the name of the shopper (Here is The Paper), check point, picture, price and info such as dimensions and how to get in touch with the vendor. You can choose to contact the vendor via Memeapp by choosing call now or chat now
Step 3: If you go down the picture of The Paper, you can see that you can also comment and like the post.
Step 4: Let say you choose to chat now, here is the chat window
Step 5: Down you screen, if you click on the notification icon, you will have the historic of what you have wanted to buy and also sell.
Step 5: This is your profile page, where we can see items that you have liked, buyed and what you are currently selling.
Thus, Memeapp is either to sell and buy and either new or second hand !
4. Uber and Grab
I don’t need to explain this application I guess. However, I will say that Uber is more often much cheaper especially during rush hour. In case of rain, as both are increasing their prices, it is better to take a taxi, it will be cheaper. Grab has an advantage is that it also acts like a delivery service, you can ask them to deliver to someone a letter, small box and so on, however you can only pay by cash and the person who receive the package needs to be available and comes down to pick up the stuff. The advantage of Uber is that they offer different range of services (economy and premium) and the interface is really nice and pleasant.
If you like going out or have to for business matters, Wisepass offers you a monthly membership at 6,000,000 VND where you can get every evening a bottle of spirit at their partners’ place such as The Society, Namo, Cuba etc.
Huge good deal !
